Toronto – December 3, 2024 – The YMCA of Greater Toronto is proud to be recognized as a Greater Toronto Area Top Employer for 2025. The charity has now received this recognition for 17 consecutive years. This year, the judges highlighted reasons including the Y’s exceptional maternity and parental leave top-up payments, access to fitness facilities to help employees stay healthy, and help planning for life after work through benefits including a defined contribution pension plan.

The YMCA of Greater Toronto offers employees a supportive and positive environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Y is an integral part of the Greater Toronto Area with over 500 locations, where employees work in roles from early childhood educators to lifeguards and camp counsellors.

“At the YMCA of Greater Toronto, we are honoured to see our charity recognized as a Top Employer for the 17th year in a row,” said Lesley Davidson, President & CEO, YMCA of Greater Toronto. “All that we do in the community is made possible by the heart and dedication of our incredible team. Our employees are giving, kind and inclusive. Without their commitment, the Y wouldn’t be what it is today. We value them greatly and strive to make their time at work supportive and fulfilling.”

The YMCA of Greater Toronto was also recognized in 2024 as one of Canada’s greenest employer.
