Come enjoy some quality family time in beautiful Muskoka this fall at Camp Pine Crest! This program is a guided overnight canoe trip on Pine Crest's back lakes campsites. As a natural progression from Pine Crest's 'at-camp' family camps, this program is perfect for those looking to take a next step in exploring their natural side. Learning about navigation, paddling a canoe, setting up a campsite, cooking on a campfire/tripping stove and portaging your gear are all part of going on canoe trip.
Arrival for the program is at 10am on Saturday September 27th and you'll head out on trip prior to eating lunch. Departure from Camp is after lunch on Sunday September 28th, likely in the 3pm range. The weekend includes 3 trip meals/day & snacks, accommodation in tents on our back lakes campsites, and staff-guided canoe tripping skills & activities throughout the days and evenings. This program is not fully accessible and we recommend participants be comfortable in a canoe. If you have questions about the accessibility of the program please just send us an email!

Pine Crest has all of the group canoe tripping equipment needed to outfit the trip, (tents, tarps, pots/pans, canoes, paddles, pfd's, etc.) but if you're encouraged to bring your own paddle/pfd/tent/etc. if you would like. Note: Your first participant for your booking will need to be an adult and should be the main person we will contact regarding your booking.
PROGRAM WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
If you wish to withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant's registration history via your My Y Account or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to register@ymcagta.org.
Withdrawls must be processed online or requested by email prior to the program start date. Refunds will be granted as follows:
- a full refund minus the admin fee of $25 if you cancel more than 14 days prior to the activity
- if it's less than 14 days we refund 50% of the cost
- if it's less that 7 days we refund 25% of the cost
- medical withdrawls accompanied by a doctor's note get a full refund no matter the timing
- we don't offer refunds for inclement weather
No refund of any amount will be granted for non-medical withdrawls on or after the program start date. Refunds will not be issued in instances where participant(s) is/are removed from the camp program at the choice or request of the participant or the participant's parent(s)/guardian(s) or are dismissed from the camp for contravention of camp guidelines or the code of conduct.
