Description
The Junior Lifeguard Club is an aquatic skill development based on personal-best achievement. Building on skills from junior lifeguard club intro, Junior Lifeguard Club members work to develop and improve swimming and other aquatic skills with emphasis on swimming technique, lifesaving skills, lifesaving knowledge, leadership and teamwork, community education, competition, and personal fitness.
Prerequisites: Completing Junior Lifeguard Club Academy Intro. Telegames entry fees are included in the registration fee.
Supervision: Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 years.
Location
This YMCA is located at the heart of one of Toronto's trendiest West End neighborhoods. There's something for everyone at this family-friendly centre featuring child care, camp, community programs, and health and fitness services. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year.

To withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant’s Registration History via your MY Y Account through MyY.YMCAGTA.ORG or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to memberservices@YMCAGTA.ORG
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP:
If you cancel your paid monthly or yearly membership, your program registration fee may be subject to adjustment based on the rates applicable to your new membership status.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:
At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a consistent and high-quality experience for all participants. However, there may be occasions where programs need to be cancelled.
If a program is cancelled due to reasons within the YMCA’s control—such as facility maintenance, staff availability, or scheduling conflicts—a credit will be automatically applied to your account for future use.
Please note that no credits or refunds will be issued for program cancellations resulting from events outside of the YMCA’s control. These include, but are not limited to, severe weather, power outages, or other unforeseen emergencies that impact program delivery.
