Description
The Lifesaving Competition Club is for present and former Junior Lifeguard Club members who are serious about Lifesaving Sport. This club's focus is the exciting world of Lifesaving Sport. The team will train to compete in Lifesaving regional and provincial competitions within the GTA area. Each week the team will complete a workout in the pool working on both the swimming strokes and events in lifesaving sport. There is an emphasis on learning more advanced techniques to improve speed and endurance.
Supervision: Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16 years.

A new state-of-the-art YMCA is now open in the heart of Vaughan emerging downtown. Join us as a member, volunteer, or donor and see for yourself the vibrant, supportive community that makes our charity so special. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year.

To withdraw a participant from a program, you can do so by accessing the participant’s Registration History via your MY Y Account through MyY.YMCAGTA.ORG or by submitting your request to withdraw by email to memberservices@YMCAGTA.ORG
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
CHANGE TO MEMBERSHIP:
If you cancel your paid monthly or yearly membership, your program registration fee may be subject to adjustment based on the rates applicable to your new membership status.
PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:
At the YMCA, we are committed to providing a consistent and high-quality experience for all participants. However, there may be occasions where programs need to be cancelled.
If a program is cancelled due to reasons within the YMCA’s control—such as facility maintenance, staff availability, or scheduling conflicts—a credit will be automatically applied to your account for future use.
Please note that no credits or refunds will be issued for program cancellations resulting from events outside of the YMCA’s control. These include, but are not limited to, severe weather, power outages, or other unforeseen emergencies that impact program delivery.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members and participants.
