You must have already reached out to Camp Pine Crest (pinecrest.bookings@ymcagta.org) to confirm eligibility prior to registering for this course.
Run in partnership with The Paddler Co-op, the ORCKA MW2 course is a 2-day course that teaches about paddling in moving water. Arrival for the course at the Paddler Co-op will be on the evening of May 10th, and the course will begin at 9am on the 11th. The course will run all day on the 11th and 12th, ending around dinner time. Course price includes camping meals and camping fees. Course participants can either bring their own paddle, whitewater-suitable pfd (with blow-away belt), and helmet or borrow them from the Pine Crest/The Co-op. Wetsuits are also available to borrow from the Co-op (and recommended at this time of year!).
Transportation! There will be a shuttle leaving from Pine Crest in the afternoon on May 10th (2pm ish) to take folks to the Co-op. You're more than welcome to arrive yourself instead, but there is space in the shuttle for all who would like! That same shuttle will pick folks back up on the 12th and return to Pine Crest in the late evening.
