Description
The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society swim for life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques.
Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the end of the course; Bronze Cross certification (need not be current)

Purchasing the Swim Instructor Pack is optional. However, please note that temporary certification cards cannot be provided to candidates who do not purchase their own manual. The Lifesaving Society issues temporary cards only in proportion to the number of instructor packs we order and distribute. We appreciate your understanding.
Location
For over 35 years, this YMCA has been providing child care, camps, and health and fitness services to members of its diverse surrounding community. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year. Free parking is available on-site for members.

Prerequisite age 15 years, Bronze Cross Certificate. Did you know you can work at the Y when you're 15 and hold your National Lifeguard and Standard First Aid Certificate. Apply at YMCAGTA.org
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
