Description
The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society swim for life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Additionally successful candidates will be certified to deliver the following Lifesaving Society Programs.· Canadian Swim Patrol Program· Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross· Lifesaving Fitness, Distinction· Basic and Emergency First Aid, and CPR-A, CPR-B and CPR-C
Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the end of the course; Bronze Cross certification (need not be current).
Location
Conveniently located next to the Scarborough Town Shopping Centre, this YMCA offers child care, health and fitness, employment, new immigrant, and youth programs. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year. On-site parking is available free to members.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
