Description
A Strength and Flexibility program is essential for dancers who want to refine technique, prevent injuries, and enhance overall performance. This class combines targeted muscle strengthening exercises with specific stretches to increase range of motion, improve muscle elasticity, and support the safe execution of complex movements. Strength and flexibility are key to achieving precise and expressive dance elements such as jumps, turns, and leg extensions. Building muscle strength while improving flexibility not only elevates technique and artistry, but also reduces the risk of injuries particularly in high impact areas like knees, ankles, and hips. Through this training, dancers develop greater body awareness, identify areas of tension, and promote muscular balance. Increased endurance and power allow for longer, more demanding choreographies to be performed with ease and confidence. In this class, dancers would work with: -Strength training using weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, and planks.-Dance specific drills tailored to the physical demands of various dance styles.-Breathing and posture techniques to maximize results and ensure safe, efficient movement.
This would be ideal for dancers at any level who want to move with more power, fluidity, and control.
