Description
The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate the swimming strokes and related skills found in the Lifesaving Society swim for life program. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, planning skills, and a variety of stroke development drills and correction techniques. Additionally successful candidates will be certified to deliver the following Lifesaving Society Programs:· Canadian Swim Patrol Program· Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross· Lifesaving Fitness, Distinction· Basic and Emergency First Aid, and CPR-A, CPR-B and CPR-C
Prerequisite: 15 years of age by the end of the course; Bronze Cross certification (need not be current).
Location
Located in the heart of the quickly growing Canary District, our newest Centre of Community is an 82,000 square foot, fully accessible facility. It features something for everyone, including two pools, an indoor track and gymnasium, weight room, cardio machines, green roof, kids' play structure, cycling studio, functional fitness training space, and more. Camp programs are available during school breaks throughout the year.

CANCELLATION POLICY AND MAKE UP CLASSES:
Participants who withdraw from the course more than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a full refund. Participants who withdraw from the course less than 7 days prior to the start of the course will receive a refund less 50% of the course fee. No refunds will be granted once the course has started.
